Octavo. [x], [265], [1, blank] pages. Publisher's full brown cloth, front board and spine ruled in blind and lettered in gilt. Recased, binding somewhat worn (especially at spine extremities) and soiled, text slightly toned, several tears in text throughout, some ink or pencil markings or staining in text, new endleaves. Final leaf re-inserted, bound without blanks. Fair. One of the most important and influential books written by W. E. B. Du Bois. A Blockson 101 title.
