by Air, Tells Her Story. New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1928.
First edition, Author's Autograph Edition, one of 150 copies
signed by Earhart and Putnam with one of the original American
flags that was on her plane during the flight affixed to the front
pastedown (as issued). Octavo. [2, blank], 374, [2, blank] pages.
With sixty-one illustrations inserted throughout. Original three
quarter red cloth over marbled board, spine ruled and lettered in
gilt. Some mild wear and sunning to binding, hinges starting,
tissue guard over frontispiece torn. Overall, a very good copy of
this elusive edition. From the library of noted collector Irving W.
Robbins, Jr. with his bookplate.
