Vandermaelen, [1827], hand-colored map of the Gulf Coast of Mexico and the coast of Texas, taken from Philippe Vandermaelen's (1795-1869) Atlas Universal, the first lithographed world atlas to include all maps on the same scale (1-inch equals 26 miles).Condition: Light toning and foxing, minor soiling on right margin does not affect appearance of map. Some small holes at upper edge where map was removed from larger volume.
