Description
Winston Churchill Signed Photograph. Black and white image, 6 ¼ x 7 ¾ inches, mounted to an overall size of 7 ½ x 10 inches. Churchill is seen in this iconic chest-up portrait wearing a dark suit, bowtie, and white pocket square, sitting with his right arm propped on the Cabinet Office table. This famous photograph was taken by Walter Stoneman, chief photographer with J. Russell and Sons, on April 1, 1942. It is signed and dated on the mount, "Winston S. Churchill / 1946." With the photographer's imprint on verso. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity by PSA/DNA.Condition: Light silvering to image and offset to mount from prior framing. Mount has creasing at top right and bumped corners. Mounting remnants and adhesive staining on verso.
