Description

Wilbur Wright Autograph Note Signed. Postcard, 5.5" x 3.5", Berlin, circa 1907. A brief note written on the front of a postcard addressed in his hand: "Can you swim? Uncle Will." Addressed on the verso to his nephew Horace Wright in Dayton, Ohio. We cannot determine the date as the postal cancellation is not clear, but it was likely sent during the years 1907-1909, when Wilbur was in Europe doing flying demonstrations. Wilbur's daring feats brought him fame across the continent, and thousands would gather to watch him.

Condition: Heavy wear and creasing. Three corners of the postcard have been clipped. Soiling, more so on verso. Postal cancellation shows through to recto.
