Description
William McKinley: Signed Appointment. 16 1/2" x 13 1/2" [sight] printed and manuscript document boldly signed "William McKinley" as President, appointing James H. Bolton as "Surveyor of Customs for the Port of Sioux City in the State of Iowa." Dated April 14, 1898. Also signed by Lyman J. Gage as Secretary of the Treasury. Double-matted.Condition: Light toning. Some ink bleed to the first four letters in "William". Still very nice.
