Thomas Jefferson Signed Scallop Top Ship's Passport. Partly printed on vellum, 10.5" x 15.25"; October 27, 1804. Countersigned by James Madison as Secretary of State. Issued to the "Ship Thomas of New York - Andrew Gardner, master or commander." Boasting a bold signature by Jefferson.

Condition:
Blind embossed paper seal is present. Flattened folds, and light soiling and toning throughout.
