Theodore Roosevelt Photograph Signed ("Theodore Roosevelt"). On original 9 7/8 x 13 7/8 inch mount.

A signed and inscribed photograph taken in New York at the Pach Brothers photography studio in New York. Inscribed by Roosevelt in the lower margin, "Sept 4th 1917 / Inscribed for Horace W. Merwin with the hearty good wishes of Theodore Roosevelt." Horace White Merwin, was a journalist, editor, and author who worked with The Outlook under editor-in-chief Lyman Abbott and collaborated with Roosevelt in his post-presidential years.

Condition: Very good. Carpenter's tape remnants to the verso. Very minor ink bleeding to the inscription, not affecting the legibility.
