Theodore Roosevelt Document Signed as president and countersigned by "Robert Shaw Oliver" as "Acting" secretary of war. One vellum page partially printed, 16" x 20", matted to an overall size of 20" x 25", Washington, D.C., January 10, 1908. This document appoints Spanish-American War veteran Waldo E. Ayer as "Major of Infantry" and is engraved with impressive martial vignettes and affixed with dark blue U. S. War Office seal. Exhibits no folds; toned. Fine and ready to display.Auction Info
