Ronald Reagan Typed Letter Signed "Dutch" as governor of California. One page, 8.5" x 11", September 5, 1972, Sacramento, to Attorney E. E. Empie, Jr., of Kansas City, apologizing for "difficulties with our Inheritance Tax Commission". On "State of California/ Governor's Office" letterhead. With folds; fine.

More Information:

In part: "I am sorry you have had difficulties with our Inheritance Tax Commission and will have someone check into the cause of it. Enclosed is a copy of their reply to you which you should have received by now. It was good to reminisce about 'the good old days'--something I don't get to do too often. This job has a way of closing in on you until you suddenly realize that you carry with you the state's problems and potential solutions from day til night."
