Printed card with official presidential embossed seal and envelope from Reagan about his recovery; 2. cards and letters from a special agent and a police officer involved in protecting the president during the attempt; 3. copies of letters from Hinkley shortly after the assassination attempt.More Information:
The copies of John Hinkley's letters are dated from January 16, 1982, through February 24, 1983, and written to a female inmate he was in love with, Suzette. One letter, dated August 16, 1982, tells how Suzette has replaced Jodie Foster as the one he loves: "You help me to stop thinking about Jodie [Foster] so much, no other girl does this for me. This could be a very positive sign! It just may be you, Suzette, that cures me! HOORAY!"
