President James Madison Partial Document Signed. One partially-printed page, 7.5" x 4.5", Washington, August 3, 1801. Madison was serving as secretary of state when he signed this document. Seal of the Office of the Secretary of State affixed at the left edge. A 3" tear is found near the upper edge with additional separation at the folds.
