Description
Millard Fillmore Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 7" x 8.5", "St. Nicholas Hotel [London]," May 16, 1855, to Solomon G. Haven thanking him for "...his expressions of good will and friendship..." He also writes that he has given his name and that of J. P. Kennedy as those that "...friends here...may safely communicate..." Fillmore was touring Europe where was would accept an honorary doctorate from Oxford University. A small tear in the middle of the letter has been archivally repaired with no loss of text.Auction Info
