Description
Millard Fillmore Autograph Letter Signed and Free Frank as a U. S. representative from New York. One page, 8" x 11.75", Buffalo [New York], July 26, 1837, to James Dexter regarding an upcoming land deal. In part: "Yesterday was the day agreed upon for making the appraisal of the Fairbanks land...and I attended personally and have just returned, and herewith enclose you the result in the shape of a contract with the appraisal...appended at $19.80." Remnant of red wax seal at left edge. Uneven toning; weakened folds are separating slightly at the intersection of some of the folds, resulting in minor loss of paper, but not affecting the text. One small hole near left edge obscures one word. The verso features a Fillmore free frank reading: "Free M. Fillmore/M.C."Auction Info
