Martin Van Buren Autographed Letter Signed. One page, 7.75" x 9.75", Lindenwald [New York], January 26th, 1852. Van Buren (1724-1862), who served as the eighth president of the United States, writes to General J. Knickerbocker, saying, "I feel myself highly honored by the application of the young mens association of your place, and regret that it will not be in my power to comply with their polite request." Smoothed folds.
