John Tyler: Customs Appointment Signed. 11" x 15 1/2", Washington, D.C., January 10, 1845. Appointing David C. Judson Collector of Customs in Oswegatchie and Inspector of the Revenue for the Port of Ogdensburg in New York state. Signed by President John Tyler and Secretary of the Treasury George M. Bibb.

Condition: Light folds, with staining along left side. Mild ink bleeding to part of Tyler's signature. Original seal affixed at lower left corner.
