John Adams Signed Copy of Lucretius. T. Lucretii Cari De Rerum Natura: Libros Sex. London: T. Child; B. Tooke; H. Clements; W. Churchill; F. Gyles, & J. Browne, 1717. Twelvemo, 367 pages plus index. Written in Latin. Contemporary full leather covered boards, with gilt decorations along a banded spine. Signed "John Adams" at the top of the second free page. Housed in a brown clamshell with stamped gilt title at the spine.Condition: Uneven toning and foxing throughout. Slight chipping to page edges. Bumped board corners. There is a small repaired tear to the first free page near lower spine edge. Minor soiling to inner pages. Pencil notation at the bottom front paste down. Sound binding.
