One partially-printed page, 12.25" x 14.25" (sight), Philadelphia, April 19, 1800, granting to "James Knox (a Major for three years) to the United States, in the Virginia Line on Continental Establishment . . . a certain tract of land, containing Two thousand acres, Situate between the Little Miami and Sciota Rivers." Countersigned by Timothy Pickering as secretary of state. Blind embossed seal of the United States affixed at lower left. Smoothed folds.
