Description

John Adams and Timothy Pickering: Duel-Signed Land Grant. 10 1/2" x 13 1/4" printed and manuscript on vellum, Philadelphia, March 20, 1800. A document granting Jonathan Dayton 4,000 acres for his military service. Being in "the second quarter of the second Township in the seventeenth range of the Tract appropriated for satisfy warrants". Signed by Adams as President and Pickering as Secretary of State.

Condition: Loss at right edge affecting printing and Dayton's name at the top right. Has toning and folds, original seal present. Both signatures remain fine.
