Ida McKinley Cabinet Card Signed "Ida S. McKinley." 4.25" x 6.5. The first lady has signed below her image. The daughter of a prominent Ohio banker, Ida married William McKinley in 1871. Of fragile health, she suffered from epilepsy and was known to occasionally have seizures in public as first lady. When this happened, President McKinley lovingly covered her face with his handkerchief. She died six years after the president was assassinated. With photographer's stamp on the verso.
