Description
Grover Cleveland Military Appointment. One sheet on vellum, 14.5" x 19.25". City of Washington, February 14, 1886. Cleveland appoints Charles A. Reynolds to the post of "Deputy Quartermaster General with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel." Some dampstaining and buckling, only remnants of blue seal at bottom left remain. Separation occurring at central horizontal fold has been repaired with cloth on verso. Separation at fold at lower left gives the appearance of paper loss.Auction Info
