Gerald R. Ford Document Signed. One page, 8.5" x 11", n.p., May 15, 1975, addressing the recovery of SS Mayaguez and crew from Cambodian forces. "At my direction, the United States forces tonight boarded the American merchant ship SS Mayaguez and landed at the Island of Koh Tang for the purpose of rescuing the crew and the ship, which had been illegally seized by Cambodian forces." In excellent condition.More Information: The Mayaguez incident involved the merchant ship's crew seized at sea. Was the last official battle of the Vietnam War, May 12, 1975, lasting four days.
