Description
Franklin D. Roosevelt Signed Paycheck as President. 8.25" x 3.5", Washington, D.C.; November 30, 1936. The check is numbered 7813 and payable to Franklin D. Roosevelt, The White House, Washington, D.C., in the amount of $6,250.00. Punched "+1 +4 37 / B" at the left front side. FDR endorsed the check "Franklin D Roosevelt" on the verso as is customary when cashing a check. FDR's signature is bold, and there are red and black stamps on the verso surrounding FDR's signature that indicate his presidential pay was deposited to his Guaranty Trust Company of New York account. The check has been professionally matted and framed to an overall size of 14.75" x 10.25", mounted on a stand with decorative wood inlay.Condition: Flattened fold, light wear and soiling. There are cancellation holes punched at the left side. Else good.
