This Harris and Ewing profile portrait showing FDR at his desk is boldly inscribed and signed to Dorothy Mac by the President. Accompanying the photo is a typed letter, 6.25" x 8.75", dated November 16, 1936, on White House letterhead to Miss Mac signed by FDR's Press Secretary Steven T. Early.

A handsome vintage sepia matte-finish 6 ¾ x 8 ¾" photographic portrait of FDR at his desk, with a magnificent profile of the right side of the President's face, fountain pen in hand, by Harris and Ewing, boldly signed and inscribed "To Dorothy Mac from Franklin D. Roosevelt." The photograph is is very fine condition, with unevenly trimmed borders. The photograph is accompanied by a letter from FDR's Press Secretary Stephen T. Early, dated November 16, 1936, shortly after FDR's re-election to the Presidency. Mr. Early writes: "My dear Miss Mac:/ This will acknowledge the receipt of your letter of recent date./ In accordance with your request, the President was pleased to sign the enclosed photograph to you and it is forwarded herewith, together with an expression of his very best wishes./ Very sincerely yours,/ Stephen Early/ Assistant Secretary to the President."
