    Bill Clinton Typed Letter Signed as President. One page, 6.75" x 8.75", on White House letterhead, Washington, D.C., February 2, 1994, to Carolyn Kelley, Moscow Mills, Missouri, slight cockling to paper, else fine.

    President Clinton thanks Ms. Kelley for her sympathy on the death of his mother. He writes in full: "Thank you for your kind words on the loss of my mother. I want you to know how much your expression of sympathy means to my family and me. Hillary and I are grateful for your thoughts and prayers."

    President Clinton's mother, Virginia Clinton Kelley, died from complications of breast cancer on January 6, 1994. Carolyn Kelley was related by marriage to the former President by his mother's fourth husband Richard Kelley.
