Description
Barack Obama Signed Elementary School Yearbook. The forty-fourth president was a young fifth grader at Punahou School, a college preparatory school in Honolulu, Hawaii, when he inscribed this yearbook, measuring 8.5" x 11", circa 1972. Placed on the first blank page from the rear, he has inscribed, "To the nicest guy I now [sic] / [signed] Barry Obama." This is the earliest signature from Mr. Obama we have seen, and is consigned by the original recipient. Near the middle of the book, "Barry" is seen as a member of Mrs. Hefty's fifth grade class, holding up a sign that reads "On Strike".Condition: The printed covers are moderately foxed, lightly soiled, and shows some light wear near the corners. Scattered spots of foxing hear his inscription. Otherwise, this book is in near fine condition.
