Abraham Lincoln Signed Military Appointment. One partially printed vellum page, 14.75" x 18.5" (sight), Washington, [D.C.]; September 9, 1861. Appointment of Alexander Perry as Assistant Quartermaster with the rank of Captain. Signed, "Abraham Lincoln" and countersigned by Secretary of War Edwin Stanton. With patriotic and martial vignettes at top and bottom. Framed to an overall size of 16.87" x 20.25".



Condition: Minor creasing. Blue seal intact. Slight fading to signature.
