Abraham Lincoln: Presidential Appointment. 18" x 11 ½" document appointing Daniel Kellogg, Jr. as Deputy Postmaster of Brattleboro, Vermont. Dated January 19, 1863, signed by Secretary of State William Seward and President Abraham Lincoln. Embossed paper seal of the Department of State affixed at left. Normal folds. Simply framed. Very clean. It would be hard to find a finer example of a Lincoln document for your collection... a perfect example!
