Description

Abraham Lincoln Political Appointment Signed and countersigned by State Secretary William H. Seward. One partially-printed page, 17" x 10" (sight), "City of Washington", March 9, 1865, appointing William Wilson "Deputy Postmaster at Logansport in the State of Indiana." With a blind-embossed paper seal in the lower left corner. Matted and framed to an overall size of 27" x 20". Minor staining and soiling, but both signatures remain bold.
