Description

Abraham Lincoln Autograph Endorsement Signed with Medallion. One page, 3" x 1.75", no place; February 20, 1865. A clipped endorsement on lined paper which reads in full: "Let them now take this oath of Dec. 8 1863 & be discharged." Signed, "A. Lincoln." With a large medallion featuring Abraham Lincoln facing right. It measures 3" x 3" and the verso is inscribed: "Inaugurated President of the United States March 4, 1861 Second Term March 4, 1865 Assassinated April 14, 1865."

Condition: Very light smudge that just touches signature. Three pieces of dried tape on verso indicating previous mounting. One area of toning where fourth piece of tape had been affixed. Uniform block of toning.
