Description

Abraham Lincoln Appointment Signed "Abraham Lincoln." One page, 20.75" x 16", Washington, D.C.; March 7, 1863. Appointing "David Wilmot, of Pennsylvania...a Judge of the Court of Claims, under the Act for the reorganization of that Court." With a white paper embossed seal at the lower left. Countersigned by William Seward as Secretary of State. With a signed statement on verso by Wilmot, sworn and signed on March 11, 1863.

Condition: Flattened folds and light creasing. A few small separations at the fold intersections. Minor soiling and toning. Bold and clear signature.
