Description
Timothy Matlack. Continental Congress Delegate, Document Signed "T Matlack". One page, 25.5" x 14", on vellum, dated July 21, 1814, an indenture for land near Philadelphia, complete with all seals and endorsements, with fold creases, else very good. Timothy Matlack was a member of the Council of Safety in Philadelphia before and during the American Revolution. He engrossed the official copy of the United States Declaration of Independence on display in the National Archives.Auction Info
