Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Samuel Chase Document Signed "Samuel Chase." One page, 7.75" x 4.5", Baltimore, January 1, 1801. Chase has signed a manuscript draft for $175.00 directing "The President Directors and Company of the Bank of the United States - Ten Days after date pay David Harris..." The verso is docketed "Pay Geo Simpson Cash on order Davis Harris bank."Condition: Smoothed fold creases; unobtrusive tape repairs to the folds on the verso, otherwise a bright, bold signature. Separations to middle fold and pencil notations on recto.
