Description
Robert F. Kennedy: Autograph Note on Mourning Card Signed, 1963, following the death of President Kennedy. Engraved, black-bordered card inscribed and signed, 5" x 3.75," no place, no date [circa 1963]. Robert and Ethel Kennedy's black-bordered and engraved condolence acknowledgement card written shortly after the death of President John F. Kennedy in November 1963. The card reads, "We are deeply touched by your thoughtfulness in letting us know that you share in our sorrow. We are consoled by the knowledge that the love he gave is returned in full measure. Robert and Ethel Kennedy." Sent to Ohio Congressman Michael J. Kirwan. Robert F. Kennedy's handwritten note in blue ballpoint pen ink reads in full: "Dear Mike / My thanks to you for / your very kind letter-You have / been a great friend of the president / and mine-Bob."
