Description

Robert F. and Ethel Kennedy: Autographed Letters. This lot has five autographs. There are three TLS's from Robert Kennedy, each simply signed "Bobby". Two are routine notes from 1960 and 1965. The other, from 1966, comments on a JFK memorial service in Jacksonville that RFK attended, and is accompanied by a color snapshot of the JFK monument. The other two items are engraved acknowledgment-of-sympathy cards from Robert and Ethel Kennedy, issued following the death of George Skakel. They are each signed by "Ethel" with poignant postscripts: "My grateful thanks to you both for offering 5 masses for my brother." All five items are addressed to Bobby's Aunt Loretta and Uncle George. A letter of provenance from the family accompanies the lot.
