Description
Oran M. Roberts Land Grant Signed "O. M. Roberts" as Governor of Texas, one page, 17 " x 14", Austin, January 19, 1880. Countersigned by "W. C. Walsh" as the Commissioner of the General Land Office. A grant of "640 acres of land . . . In Eastland County . . . on the waters of the Leon [Creek]" to "the Houston and Texas Central Rail Road Company". Blind embossed state seal and blind embossed General Land Office seal are at the left. Roberts served Texas from 1879-1883 as the 17th governor. Very fine condition.
