Louis Brandeis Autograph Letter Signed. One page on personal letterhead, 6 x 6 3/4 inches, Washington, D.C.; February 24, 1941. A brief letter to New York lawyer Harold Roland Shapiro, written just nine months before the Supreme Court Justice's death. In full:

"It was good of you to send this interesting debate." Signed, "Louis D Brandeis."

Brandeis was the first Jewish justice to be appointed to the Supreme Court. He served from 1916 until his retirement in 1939.

Condition: Lightly age-toned with a single flattened fold. Short closed tear at the bottom edge near the left margin.
