Description

John Marshall Manuscript Document Signed DS "J Marshall", one page, 7.25" x 3.75", Richmond, Feb. 2, 1791. The receipt reads: "Received from Mr. James Brown Thirty pounds curr[enc]y to annum." Large, clean signature, uneven margins, with a few folds; otherwise near fine.

Marshall served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court from 1801 until his death in 1835. Desirable in any form, Marshall is one of the scarcest and most valued autographs by Supreme Court Justices.
