John Ireland Land Grant Signed "Jn. Ireland" as Governor of Texas, one page, 17 " x 14", Austin, January 24, 1885. Countersigned by "W. C. Walsh" as the Commissioner of the General Land Office. A grant of "Six Hundred and Forty (640) acres of land . . . In Moore County" to "the Houston and Texas Central Railway Company". Blind embossed state seal and blind embossed General Land Office seal are at the left. Ireland served as Texas' 18th governor from 1883-1887. Very fine condition.
