John Hancock Revolutionary War Document Signed as Governor of Massachusetts, partially printed, countersigned by John Avery, one page, 10" x 11.5" matted and framed to an overall 16" x 18", n.p., likely Boston, July 1, 1781, names William French "Captain of a company in the third regiment of Militia in the County of Suffolk whereof Seth Sumner Esq is Colonel." Embossed Massachusetts Seal in upper left margin. Splits on horizontal folds, moderate foxing. Good condition with a typically bold Hancock signature.
