Description
John C. Breckinridge Autograph Letter Signed "John C. Breckinridge." One page, 7.75" x 9.75", Lexington, Kentucky, June 16, 1856, to Democratic Congressman Emanuel B. Hart, New York. Written in the interim period between his tenure as Representative from Kentucky and his single term as Vice President, this letter reads in part: "I acknowledge with pleasure your friendly letter of the 11 inst. My position is [illegible] to me but nothing connected with it gives me more pleasure than to be remembered by my old friends...". With the usual old, smoothed fold creases and some browning along the extreme edges, else very good.Auction Info
