Description
Alexander Stephens Cabinet Card Signed. 4.25" x 6.5". A later portrait of the former Confederate vice president, Stephens is seen sitting at a chair with his right arm upon a table. At the time, he was serving in the U.S. Congress as a representative from Georgia. Stephens signs his name and dates it November 10, 1879. An inscription on the verso indicates that the photo was given to John Williams of Waxahachie, Texas, by Stephens himself.Auction Info
