Alexander Hamilton: 1792 Letter Signed [LS]. 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" 1pp [Philadelphia], Treasury Department, July 2, 1792, signed "Alexander Hamilton" as Secretary of the Treasury, Writing to Sharp Delany, Collector of the Port of Philadelphia, Hamilton relates his decision in a case of fraud against four parties, finding in their favor and potentially overturning a forfeiture procedure, pending payment of costs and charges.

Condition: Laminated with a heat setting acetate, flattened folds, some minor loss along middle of left edge. Excellent overall.
