Description
[Revolutionary War]. Patrick Henry Autograph Letter Signed "P. Henry." One page, 8.25" x 5", [Virginia], September 26, 1782. Henry, best known for his "Give me Liberty, or give me Death!" speech given to the Virginia Convention, was serving in the Virginia Assembly when he wrote this letter to Major Hairston [?] sending "Certificates for £11.10 - an Order on Capt. Wills . . . & Capt. Saunders . . . which he owes me for my Wages." Separation along the folds. Edges are chipped. Scattered foxing. Additional text on the verso has bled through lightly.Auction Info
