Ralph Waldo Emerson Autograph Manuscript Signed. One page, 4.5" x 3.5" (sight), no place; no date. Emerson's quatrain, "Hush!" which reads in full: "Hush! / Every thought is public, / Every nook is wide, / The gossips thread each whisper, / And the gods from side to side. / R. W. Emerson." Matted and framed with two images of Emerson, along with an engraved print of his home in Concord, Massachusetts, to an overall size of 15.5" x 15.5".Condition: Sunned and toned. Frame lightly scratched.
