Description

Russian Cosmonaut Document Signed, Featuring Yuri Gagarin. One page, 8.25" x 11.75", Center for Cosmonaut Training letterhead, dated from April 9, 1963 to April 15, 1963. This document is written entirely in Russian (Cyrillic alphabet) and is signed by four Russian cosmonauts, who also sign in Russian: Yuri Gagarin, Gherman Titov, Andrian Nikolayev, and Pavel Popovich. This document is a list of exercises and training that the astronauts did between these dates. Gagarin is of course, the first man to go into space and return alive. His legacy and fame are still huge today in Russia and worldwide. Titov, was the second person to orbit earth and the youngest man to enter space at 25. Nikolayev set many records for space travel, including endurance records for staying in orbit. He also has a crater named for him on the moon. Pavel Popovich was the first Ukranian astronaut and a member of the original 20 men trained to be cosmonauts. A fantastic piece for space enthusiasts.
The document is in very fine condition; slight signs of wear are present including small tears on the right edge and two smudges on the left edge. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
