Description

Rudolf Virchow Autograph Letter Signed "Rudolph Virchow". Three pages of a bifolium, 5" x 8", Berlin, circa 1895, written in German and untranslated. Accompanied by a photograph of Virchow, sepia, 2.5" x 4". Prussian scientist and physician, Rudolf Virchow, is known for his numerous medical advancements and for founding social medicine. Much of his work revolved around cell pathology and cell theory. Among his colleagues, Virchow was known as the "Pope of Medicine".

Condition: Toned with usual mail folds and light foxing. A small tear is present on front right edge.
