Description
Prince Charles and Princess Diana Christmas Card Signed "Charles" and "Diana." Heavy cardboard cardstock measuring 6" x 8" (folded), no place [London]; no date [circa 1988]. The front is stamped with gold royal insignia, with the internal message reading: "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year from Charles and Diana." Opposite the printed Christmas greeting and signatures is a color photograph of Charles (wearing the ceremonial uniform of the Welsh Guards) and Diana with their two sons, Princes William and Harry.Although posed as a happy, carefree family, the royal couple was already experiencing marital problems. They were living separately, with Charles at Highgrove and Diana at Kensington Palace. They remained together, however, until 1996 when they officially divorced.
Condition: Light creasing and wear to the card edges and corners. Light soiling throughout and at the spine. Boldly signed by both Charles and Diana.
