Louis XIV Military Appointment Signed. One page of vellum, 13.5" x 10.25", Versailles; August 19, 1693. A lieutenancy appointment in French, untranslated. Signed, "Louis" as king.Condition: Very minor pest damage to margins, not affecting text. Three small areas of tape attachment to lower margin. Lightly wrinkled with slight scattered soiling. Holed at left margin. Paper attachment to one corner of verso. Smoothed folds.
