Description
King George III Two Documents Signed on a Single Sheet. Two pages, 11 1/2 x 19 inches, London; April 29, 1779. On the recto, a "Warrant for deducting Twelve Pence in the Pound...to be applied to the Use of Our Royal Hospital Near Chelsea." On the verso, a "Warrant for deducting one Days Pay" for the same purpose. Each side is signed "George R" in iron gall ink at the top margin, and countersigned by Charles Wolfran Cornwall, Lord Westcote, and Lord Palmerston.Condition: Age-toned with smoothed folds. Some edgewear, including small chips and separations, not affecting text. A few light stains and pencil annotations at the top margin.
